
As the technical editor of Car Mechanics magazine Steve answers readers questions in the “Help” and Diagnostic Doctor pages. He also writes “Tales from the workshop” for for the Magazine every month, visiting some of the garages featured in the CM good garage guide
Even though Steve has sold his own workshop business he is still very much in touch with the nuts and bolts of the motor trade, visiting and advising at many garages in the South coast area.
Steve also answers readers questions in Classics Monthly and contributes to Autobiz.

Steve is a member of the Guild of Motoring Writers and is always open to offers of other freelance writing work, with an extensive knowledge of the motor vehicle and motor trade he is the ideally suited to any motor trade related articles.
Steve has had a successful career in the motor trade for well over 40 years has written down his story in his popular book available on Amazon, in the years that this been has been published it has spent much of its time in the top 100 of the automotive section.
“I Can’t Get My Overalls Off” is Steve’s life story of the motor trade. Also available as a paperback
It has been some years since “I can’t get my overalls off” was published and so Steve decided that a follow up was due, with quite a few changes in the last ten years this will hopefully be an entertaining follow up to the first book.
